We knew the "who played the game great?" half of this was going to one of Belgian's young guns. Dave "Eureka's" Castle, Craig "Seymour" Skinner, and Kyle "Tom Thompson" Tomlinson played great as a unit in both the offensive and defensive facets of the game for David Buhr. With stats not kept in tournaments it came down to who made the biggest impression just by seeing them play, and the reason we gave the nod to Phillips is the vast improvement he made on the mound in the past two weeks. He struggled greatly on the mound in the first tournament, but came out confident and seemingly like he had been pitching the plastic ball for years on Saturday. He brings a good bat, a lot of speed, and his defensive prowess has already been heralded; adding effective pitching to that list could put Chandler in the MVP discussion in the future!
The "who made the game great to play" side of this was a two horse race, but by the end of the day Jeremy ran away with it. Now, I am sure some of you are saying, "he's not even a league player!" Maybe not, but he was on the field this week; in fact, he has shared the field with us more often than most of the league this spring! And we love having him, Wright's a riot! Really, it is better if we just let you see for yourself:
