Dennis did two impressive things on Saturday. First, while everyone struggled to find accuracy and consistency on the rug, he was able to pitch into the strong headwind almost unaffected. The truly remarkable part of Dennis' game, though, really did bring on many remarks: "Shout out to D!", "Woooooooooow!", "Oh my God!", and "Moonshot!" to name a few. These all came in response to the absolutely monsterous home runs he put on display. His longest hit the far corner of the tennis court fence beyond center field; it had to measure about 180'. He also stroked this pool shot, which you can watch on repeat. It was dinner and a show, or a massage with happy ending. Either way, Dennis did it all.

After a boring first two play-in games, Hewlett woke up the bats and the fun with an absolute blast over the center field monster. His shot was the first hard hit, let alone home run at the Holy Grounds. It had a chance to reach the backyards across the alley, but struck the upper third of the tree. After Jason's rocket, the Balls' bats lit it up in the bottom half of the inning. Then, the rest of the Islanders joined the hit parade in their second inning. After that the tournament found new offensive life: moonshots, missiles, and circle tours galore took over for the pedestrian action of those early games, and we all have Hewlett to thank for that!
