1.67 ERA 2 W 47 K 4 H 18 IP 86 BF Sam did it again, his second consecutive Munson and third of the year. What's more spectacular: this time he earned it on a national scale! He led all WSEM players and most of the entire NWLA field in both hitting and pitching. Sam's .346 AVG was fifth best in the tournament, and his 1.67 ERA fourth best. With 12 games still to play don't be surprised if Hatt winds up landing a Munson again, impressively putting him on this list for over a quarter of the season! |
Huge thanks to Josh Nagorski and the Tunics (Nick Braden and Nick Coffee) for hanging out, bench coaching, base coaching, and all around dadding it up. You dads helped out a ton and made the weekend a blast. The same goes for all the members of both teams (Effin' Squirrels and Big Wood); couldn't have been a more fun cast of characters to take the fields for hours at a time with. Great camaraderie, lots of tomfoolery. Remember when we pissed off a fan section by playing leap frog at home plate after a grand slam, so we did it again a couple innings later? There is a lot of video from the weekend that we are putting together into something a little bigger, so expect that in the next couple weeks. Alex is also working on a one-man show, complete with voice impersonations, that relives some of the moments not caught on camera but needed to be - so choice! |
