Week 6

Nick Coffee Field of Make-Believe
King Friday W.C. Fields

Nick Coffee is familiar with winning Munsons, but never the stat Munson. He is looked at as one of the better leftfielders in the league, but his offensive numbers have always been below average. On the mound he would get an occasional inning or two in relief, but never has he been given a start. Well, in King Friday’s home opening two series against the Belgian Wiffles and El Diablos, Nick shined in all three aspects of the game. In the field against El Diablos, Nick had his signature rob of a homerun while falling over the fence and hanging onto the ball. At the plate he hit his first two career homeruns, one against each opponent. The big shocker of the day was his pitching performance against the Belgian Wiffles where he had a complete game shutout helping Friday complete the two game sweep.
The Field of Make-Believe is a magical place. Competition can bring out the worst in people at times, but at TFOMB on Sunday, June 2nd, only good times were had. A large crowd with many curious onlookers came to the field to watch King Friday take on their Garcia Division opponents. Laughter, happiness, smiles, hugs, kisses, high-fives, and butt grabs were plentiful on this day. In the last game of the day, two girls took the field for King Friday with Dakota LaDouceur being the gentleman he is pitching them lobs so they could make contact with the ball. Our friend, The Tree had some fun as well stopping 3-4 no doubt home runs. In a day where a lot went wrong in the league, everything went right at TFOMB.
