Dakota LaDouceur had quite the four games against the Holy Balls and Westside Warriors, two top four teams. Days after being named to Big Wood, the reigning Co-HR King belted seven home runs over the weekend. Two of those home runs were grand slams making his RBI total over those four games an astounding 23. Dakota has been on record saying he is a slow starter, and it appears his “slump” is over. The quotation marks are there because his slumping numbers were still better than ~90% of the league. El Diablos offensive numbers have been insane, and it is a safe assumption that Dakota could once again be in a HR battle with a teammate, just like last season with Bortmas.

Jason Matt is having fun this season and it is showing. After two stressed filled seasons with the Mattseals, J-Matt has a new attitude and approach to the game. One of the longest tenured players in the SE MI competitive wiffleball scene made quite the impression on Sunday against the Ducks, even though they lost two heartbreakers. With a new Mohawk and his signature lumberjack beard, J-Matt has quickly become a fan favorite in the league. It is refreshing to see J-Matt go out and have fun win or lose. After not pitching a single inning in 2012, J-Matt is also doing quite well on the mound and that showed this weekend as he held the offensive powerhouse Ducks to just one run.
