Pitching Stats for the Week: This is an ironman Munson: an 18 inning complete game shutout! What was really impressive is that Adam's pitching seemed to get more efficient and effective as the innings piled up. At no point in the game did it ever seem like he was in danger of surrendering the game-winning run. In addition to his outstanding pitching performance, Cosby also accounted for three of the Mattseals' seven RBI in their four games played in Week 8. Bonus points for this quote after a K, "Hey! I didn't hit myself in the head that time!" |
Not only did Jake laugh along with the rest of the Friday guys when getting fooled and 'pinged' by a ridiculous floating knuckleball, but he also made one fantastic hustling play that really earns him this Munson. While playing shortstop a ball gets popped up into foul territory; Jake tears off after it, trying to get underneath as it keeps tailing back toward... the woods! Sure enough, Jake crashes into the brush head-first at full speed. Evidence of another way Wiffleball is different than other 'balls: you don't need to make the play to be considered for a play of the day! |
